Artist’s statement:
“I paint! I use brushes, squirt bottles, droppers, scrapers, fingers, paper, dryers, gravity and anything else nearby to put paint on the canvas. As a self taught artist, my style is unconventional and unique. My technique ranges from precise brush strokes to splatter marks. While it may seem random, each spot of paint is thought out, agonized over, placed just so, until the piece is done. My space may be a mess, but I am left with just what I want. A canvas once blank, now full of life. This is my process. Like a jigsaw puzzle, the pieces come together to make a picture I didn’t know existed.”
“I am a financial Planner by day and a painter by night. This duality is carried over into my work. I often combine abstract and vibrant themes with concrete patterns and sensible lines. My work ranges from bright and bold colors to subdued earth tones. Just as a single painting combines all of these forms, there is no separation between my role as a planner and an artist. My love for creativity is evidenced as much in my artwork as it is in the personal relationship with my clients. I just try not to get paint on my tie.”
