Ray Lang is a freelance photographer who’s traveled on several overseas short-term mission trips. He goes on these trips to bring back pictures of what God is doing in third world nations through the people, cultures and their surroundings — far removed from Michigan. Ray takes an entourage of cameras with him and shoots with mostly black and white film. He believes that black and white best captures the essence and true character of the people and cultures that he encounters. Each image has a story behind it because each person has a story. This exhibition features some of these images and the stories behind them, as photographed and written by Ray.
